More Hopeful Futures Mini Grant

About this fund:

Established in 2025, This financial award is available to applicants in the St. Louis Metro area to help with eligible secondary educational and self-improvement expenses.  

Ranging from tuition, student loans, course related fees, apprenticeship costs, workshops, tools, transportation, uniforms, equipment and more. Individuals currently enrolled in school, apprenticeships and 

post-secondary programs are encouraged to apply!


Criteria:

To be eligible to be considered for this financial award of $500, applicants must:

  • Demonstrate an unmet financial need
  • Have a high school diploma, GED, or certification
  • Plan to enroll in an accredited post-secondary program leading to a certificate, associate or bachelor's degree. (proof is required)
  • Ages 17-25


Submission Requirements:

  • Complete Application

*Applications will be accepted August 4, 2025- August 18, 2025*

  • Submit Transcript for current academic year (for students)

*This should include applicants Name, school, course selections, cumulative GPA, and total cost of attendance,

*Notifications of award selection will be emailed 8/20-8/22.


Please answer the following questions:

  1.  How do you plan to use the funds to pursue your degree or further your career path? 
  2.  Why did you choose your field of study? 
  3.  What are your plans after you complete your degree, certification or apprenticeship program?
  4. How are you preparing yourself for a "More Hopeful Future?"


Please submit a 200-word essay. Introducing yourself to us, we want to know more about YOU! Tell us your story. What makes you, YOU? What are your dreams? Where do you come from & where are you going?  Were there any significant people who helped you become who you are today?

After review, selected applicants will be contacted Via email for next steps.
